GUJCOST sponsored Two Days National Seminar on Current Trends in Drug Delivery of Phytoconstituents

GUJCOST sponsored 2 days national seminar on “CURRENT TRENDS IN DRUG DELIVERY OF PHYTOCONSTITUENTS” was organized on 12th & 13th July 2019 at S.K. Patel College of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Ganpat Univ., Mehsana, Gujarat (North). The financial support of Rs. 50,000/- was received from GUJCOST by Dr. Nikunjana A. Patel as a program co-ordinator to organize this seminar. In this seminar, 78 participants were participated and presented a poster on topics related to pharmaceutical sciences. Dr. Richa Dayaramani, Principal, Tolani Institute of Pharmacy, Adipur, Kuchchh was chief guest of the inaugural function and has delivered a key note address on PHYTOSOMES. Dr. Mamta B. Shah, Professor from L. M. College of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad has delivered a session on “Phytopharmaceuticals”. Dr. R. K. Patel, Principal, S. K. Patel College of Pharm Edu & Res, Ganpat University, has delivered a s session on Strategies for the Development and Delivery of Phytoconstituents Dr.Sanjeev Acharya from GUJCOST has delivered a s session on “Novel brain targeting approaches for the development of Asiatic acid nanoconstructs for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases” Dr. Niyati Acharya, Associate Professor, Faculty of Pharmacy, Nirma University, has delivered a session on PhytoACTIVES in Cosmeceuticals. Dr. Vimal Kumar, Principal, ITM school of Pharmacy, ITM Universe, Vadodara has delivered a s session on Novel Drug Delivery of Phytochemical Formulations in Life Style Disorders. The last session was organized for poster presentations by the participants. There were 5 research and 14 review posters presented by the participants of the seminar and these posters were evaluated by Dr. Niyati Acharya. Research poster on “Isolation and estimation of novel bioactive ergometrine compound from argyreia speciosa linn. having spermatogenic and aphrodisiac potential” by Dr. Niraj Vyas & Review poster on “Natural Origin Compounds As Skin Penetration Enhancer For Transdermal Drug Delivery” by Ms. Tanvi Dodiya was selected as best Research and Review Poster, respectively.
