To create awareness of cancer in society.
It is quite important for people and Cancer Patients to maintain a positive attitude towards Cancer Prevention. So, as a part of the World Cancer Day celebration with the objective to create awareness on cancer in society, Shree S K Patel College of Pharmaceutical Education and Research in association with the Indian Pharmacy Graduates Association Women Forum, New Delhi organized an expert Talk by Eminent Oncologist Dr. Ankit B Patel. Moreover, to showcase young talent for Cancer Prevention and Awareness Campaign various competitions were organized such as Show it off (Poster Making), Let your pen speaks (Essay Writing), Oratorical fireworks (Elocution), and Catch Phrases for Carcinoma (Slogan Writing). The program was started at 10:00 am on 4th February 2021. The opening ceremony of the program was graced by Padma Shri Ganpatbhai Patel (Patron-in-chief and President, Ganpat University), Dr. Ankit B. Patel (M.D., DM (Medical Oncology), Sunshine Global Hospital, Surat, Gujarat), and Dr. S S Pancholi (Principal, Shree S K Patel College of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Ganpat University). Dr. S S Pancholi had welcome and introduced invited dignitaries. He also shared key features of Ganpat University and Pharmacy institute to attendees. Dr. Ankit B Patel had given his expert talk on Cancer prevention and screening. He showed a global picture of cancer. He also insisted to invest in health rather than properties. Shri Ganpatbhai Patel showered words of blessing for making the program successful and appreciate the organizing team for the systemic arrangement of an awareness campaign on the occasion of the World Cancer Day celebration. Dr. Geeta K. Patel and Dr. Nikunjana Patel has coordinated the program successfully. Total 483 pharmacy students from all over India had registered and 283 had participated in various competitions.
